The Shikoku-inu is an intelligent breed, they are far less independent when compared to some other Japanese breeds, which means they are trainable with a little care and time. The Shikoku is fond of its master and shows them lots of respect, love and affection. These dogs stay very devoted towards their owners and enjoy their company. This breed is typically quiet around the house and doesn't cause a lot of fuss.
