Chinese Crested puppies and dogs are very faithful and devoted companions. This breed requires an owner who will handle it in a gentle manner as it's a little dog that cannot be handled roughly at all but at the same time shouldn't be treated like a baby as this can make the dog feel frustrated. It will bond well with children that are gentle with them. This is a lovely, kind-hearted dog that loves human companionship and becomes extremely attached to their owners. There are two types of Chinese Crested dogs; one is the Hairless type and the other is the Powder Puff. The Hairless type literally has not hair other than on the top of their head, ears and feet. Their skin is soft and smooth and it must be cared for well in order to avoid skin infections and conditions such as sunburn. Please see the Health Issues link above for more information. |
