They are eager to please and their high levels of intelligence allow them to be easily trained. This breed is highly respected for its shear ability, skills and lack of fear. It is important that this dog is trained well and therefore, requires an owner that is able to develop them. In doing so, Alsatians can make fantastic family pets that can form good relationships and bond well with humans. These dogs show devotion to their owners as they are very loyal and committed. They are also very eager to please their owners, and really can become great companions. Their senses are heightened, therefore, making them particularly good guard dogs as they are extremely watchful, aware and alert to every sight and sound.
