The Personality and Temperament of the Sussex Spaniel is very dignified and charming. This is a delightful breed of dog that doesn't tend to be quite as fast or energetic as the other types of Spaniels, however, it still has a great personality that is bright and keen. This is an enthusiastic breed of dog that tends to like everybody. This breed should be provided with obedience training like any other breed of dog, however, this one does tend to bond well with children and other animals especially when raised together. The Sussex Spaniel is trainable and will adapt well to family life. Dogs and puppies have loving and affectionate temperaments, and they really enjoy the company of their family. This is a gentle dog that has a very charming and pleasant nature. Owners should be prepared to spent time with this breed as it is not a solitary animal. Time will also need to be set aside for providing this puppy or dog with suitable daily exercise and activity.
