The Personality and Temperament of the Saint Bernard is loving, kind and gentle. Although this is a huge breed of dog, it is credited for its tolerant and calm personality and temperament. Of course, like all breeds, the Saint Bernard must be trained and socialized from a young age, especially whilst it's a manageable size that can be effectively controlled. However, this well-balanced, laid back breed of puppy and dog likes everybody and tends to bond very well with children. This is a willing breed that really wants to please its owners. Dogs and puppies show good behavior and they are very dignified and graceful. This is a very muscular, strong and powerful dog so it's important that their master provides them with consistent training and guidance. This is a very caring breed of puppy and dog that makes an excellent family pet but its size must be considered before buying one as it will require a lot of space and a backyard to roam around.
