Whatever the texture of your particular dog or puppy's coat, it should be groomed thoroughly on a weekly basis to keep the coat looking healthy and shiny. The Field Spaniel has fairly long hair which can tangle quite easily so grooming is very important as it will help to reduce the knots and tangles.
- Use a pin brush or comb, start at the head of the dog & work through tangles carefully
- Go over the coat with a slicker brush always following the direction of hair growth
- Take your time when grooming & take care around any delicate areas
