The Clumber Spaniel was originally bred to hunt game, and it is one of the most placid and even tempered of the hunting dogs. This is a kind-hearted breed that likes to please its owners. Dogs and puppies are very hard working and enthusiastic. They have a lot of energy when they are young so daily walks and exercise must form part of their routine. Dogs and puppies from this breed love nothing more than playing. When they reach maturity they do not have as much energy but they will still enjoy some daily exercise. They like to chew so it's important to provide them with suitable toys to chew on. The Clumber Spaniel has a dignified and charming personality and temperament, and they are very proud dogs. This breed is clever and puppies and dogs have good memories so obedient training isn't too difficult.
