The Personality and Temperament of the Chow Chow may not be to everybody's taste. This dog should be owned by an experienced handler who can deal well with this breed's temperament. With the right owner who provides suitable training, this dog will behave very well and will form a great bond, be loving, affectionate and make very pleasant company. However, with a passive owner, this breed of puppy and dog can become dominant and controlling. This breed tends to be a little stubborn, it's an independent thinker and will often do as it pleases. It isn't quite as willing to please as some other breeds. This breed can be a little lazy so it's important to take them out for a daily walk as this is good for them both physically and mentally. Dogs and puppies from this breed tend to have a air of authority and importance about them. They are really quite dignified and proud. With the right owner, this dog can make an excellent and well-behaved pet as it will be very devoted and faithful.
