It's a big dog that is strong, powerful and courageous. It shows enthusiasm, willingness and determination. Dogs and puppies from this breed are devoted and loyal to their owners and families. They have gentle and kind personalities and temperaments, and form excellent relationships with humans. This is an intelligent breed so it can be trained fairly easily to be well behaved and obedient, although it may take a little time as puppies from this breed can be a little slow to learn. This is an energetic and active breed that needs to be given a sufficient amount of daily exercise. The exercise that they are given should be varied, and in particular, this dog enjoys swimming and will love to do so at any given opportunity.
