The Personality and Temperament of the Briard is lovely. This warm hearted breed has a loving, gentle, pleasant approach and manner which makes it very appealing to everybody. These puppies and dogs are very clever so they can be trained easily, however, they do tend to have an independent streak so some patience might be required. These dogs show love and devotion to their owners and families, they are very genuine and caring. The Briard is high spirited and fun loving, it has a lot of energy so adequate play time and exercise must form part of their daily routine. Dogs and puppies from this breed have exceptional hearing abilities and therefore, tend to make very good guardians. This is a dog that has courage and enthusiasm; a breed with spirit that shows willingness. It is very eager, and will aim to please its owners. Dogs and puppies show affection towards those that they are familiar with, they can be a little reserved around strangers.
