Breeders produced this dog by crossing the White English Terrier with the English Bulldog. Dogs and Puppies from this breed are so well mannered that they were given the nickname 'The American Gentleman'. The official name, Boston Terrier, was given to this breed in the year of 1891. It was officially recognised by the American Kennel Club in the year of 1893.
