The History and Origins of the Boston Terrier is really interesting. The history of the Boston Terrier began in Boston, Massachusetts, United State of America. This breed was created and bred to be a fighting dog. Breeders produced this dog by crossing the White English Terrier with the English Bulldog. Dogs and Puppies from this breed are so well mannered that they were given the nickname 'The American Gentleman'. The official name, Boston Terrier, was given to this breed in the year of 1891. It was officially recognised by the American Kennel Club in the year of 1893. In present day times, dogs and puppies from the Boston breed are popular house pets as they are very intelligent and can be trained very easily to be well behaved and obedient. They also have a very good reputation for being good and bonding well with humans and making excellent companions.
