This breed of puppy and dog was originally bred to track and tree racoon, therefore, it has certain attributes to its personality that made this breed so good at their work. These dogs have high levels of endurance, they are very passionate about carrying out their tasks well and to the best of their ability; showing dedication and persistence no matter what the weather conditions might be, this dog has strength and determination and will continue to plough on. Although, this particular breed can be a little awkward to train, it is advisable and very rewarding as they will behave very well from suitable training and make great family pets. They are recommended more so for older children as they can sometimes become a little dominant around little ones. However, if trained correctly, dogs and puppies will show respect.
