This breed of puppy and dogs has strength and stamina, and enjoys a challenge or task, to which it will work very hard in carrying out well. This dog requires a firm and experienced handler, somebody who isn't harsh but is rather more assertive, in order to prevent the dog from dominating them. It is important to train puppies from an early age so that their behavior develops well and they are able to socialize. With the right training, puppies and dogs belonging to this breed are lovable and friendly. They provide protection to their owners and families, and they will remain loyal and devoted. Dogs and puppies are extremely observant, alert and watchful, and this increases their guarding abilities.
