The Personality and Temperament of the Poodle is bright and active. The Standard Poodle in particular has an even-temper and is nicely natured and calm. Despite some people believing the Poodle to be brainless, it is actually a very intelligent and smart dog. This breed is very obedient and learns very easily - it is highly trainable. The Poodle has great character, it is a friendly dog that likes to socialize with everybody. Puppies and dogs from this breed have a graceful and dignified appearance and this is mirrored in their behavior. This is a proud breed that shows willingness and enthusiasm, dogs and puppies will want to please their owner. They have cheerful, content personalities and temperaments which makes them popular family pets. The Poodle is usually very good with children but as with all breeds, it should be supervised accordingly. This is not a solitary dog so it should be kept indoors as opposed to outside in a kennel. This breed enjoys company and likes spending time with its owner.
