The Personality and Temperament of the English Foxhound is very enthusiastic and willing. This breed of puppy and dog is extremely energetic and does not tire of exercise easily, therefore, it is very important that this breed receives plenty of daily exercise and play time. This is an independent thinking dog and its temperament and personality can sometimes be a little stubborn, this can make obedience training slower than some of the other breeds as they are not always as responsive. The English Foxhound is confident and courageous, it's a determined and dedicated breed of puppy and dog. Although this breed was originally bred as a fox hunter, in today's times, it has become a great companion to man. Dogs and puppies are sociable, friendly and even-tempered. They make great family pets and tend to bond well with everybody. When they are young, they can be a little boisterous so supervision around young children is recommended.
